May was education month at lab! Many of our stylist travelled to other cities to participate in training with companies like Schwarzkopf professional and Suki's. However the biggest event was right here in the lab environment as we welcomed national platform artist and international educator Jean-Sebastien Lacombe!
On May 12th the lab closed it's doors for the day so that we could get serious about educating ourselves on the latest and greatest from Schwarzkopf's essential looks collection spring/summer 09. Opting to use mannequin heads instead of their human (more likely to cry or complain) counterparts made for an afternoon of unbridled creativity and fun.
At the end of the day we were met with high praise from our new friend "Jean-Seb" who not only loves lab, but has also fallen in love with our beautiful city. So we figured the only thing to do was take him out and show him the finer points of Victoria! Drinks on the roof top at Strathcona, sushi at Ebizo, coffee at Habit, more drinks at the Mint, and breakfast at Mole made for a perfect intro to the local culture.
