HST starts July 1st :(

We would like to take a moment to discuss how the HST will affect your life at LAB.

Until now the federal government has been collecting only 5% GST on all hair services. On July 1st the HST will go into effect raising the tax to 12% on everything from haircuts to shampoo.

Unfortunately the government has taken a "businesses will save money and pass on the savings to you the consumer" standpoint. This is untrue of service based businesses. Things like our property lease, the products we use, the amazing coffee we serve you, and everything else that goes into making LAB so wonderful, will increase in price by roughly 7% which greatly inflates our cost of doing business.

We are committed to providing you with the same great service and atmosphere you have come to know and love at the same reasonable prices. Which is why we feel compelled to let you know this :

The only increase you will notice in our prices is due to increased taxation and not an increase in service price.
